  • Day 1

    9:30-10am - Arrival and welcome introduction

    10-10:20am - Pre-activation

    10:20-12pm - Training Session

    12-1pm - Lunch at Mickleover FC

    1-2pm - Classroom workshop

    2-2:20pm - Pre-activation

    2:20-4pm - Training session

    4:30-5:30pm - Swimming pool recovery

    6pm - 3 Course Dinner at Hotel

    7pm - Workshop

    8pm - Team Building Activity

    10pm - Bedrooms

    8-8:45am - Breakfast at hotel

    8:45-9:45am - Classroom Workshop

    10-10:20am - Pre-activation

    4-4:30pm - Mini Games/ Tournament Activity

The Hotel

Set in the heart of Derbyshire and a 5 minute drive from Mickleover Football Club - The training pitch used for The Nationals Elite Midlands Camp.

Meet the Coach- Sonny Pike

Sonny was England's biggest prospect in the mid-late 90's. Well known for his technical ability and scoring hundreds of goals per season, Sonny was the only English kid to be approached and go to the Ajax Academy! At the age of 13, his legs were insured for £1 million after winning Sky Sports Awards in 1995 and 1996. Sonny became famous for being the 'Coca-Cola kid' at Wembley Stadium, with opportunity to show his ball skills in front of 80,000 people.Sonny is using his experience and skills to develop football training programmes offering individuals the chance to receive high-quality 1-2-1 coaching tailored to their needs and focused on their goals, after over 15 years experience in the game. Played at: Leyton Orient, Chelsea FC, QPR, Crystal Palace, Stevenage FC, Barnet FC

Elite Camp FAQ's

What's the refund policy?

14 Day Cooling Off Period
Any order can be cancelled within 14 days for a full refund as per EU regulations. Email info@thenationals.co.uk to begin the refund process

After the 14 Day Cooling Off Period - 60 days before the booked camp
Refunds can be offered at 75% between the above dates. A 25% admin fee is taken off your refund due to costs and deposits paid by The Nationals as part of your booking. 

Less than 60 days before your camp
Refunds cannot be offered less than 60 days before the start of your camp. 

You can choose to exchange for Store Credit or defer to another Nationals Camp.

Injuries sustained before the camp:

We believe that The Nationals provides such a valuable experience both on and off the pitch, that attending with an injury can still be an incredible experience for a young player. We'd be happy to accommodate injured players and provide a top class experience.

If you cannot make it due to an injury obtained after the 60 Day date, a Medical Doctors Note must be provided in order to receive your refund (minus the 25% admin fee)

Do parents have to attend?

Yes - 1 parent must accompany their player.

We unfortunately cannot host 2 parents as we have twin rooms booked for this event. Other parents and family members would be welcome to watch training, but not included in the other activities.

What is the accommodation like?

The accommodation is a Twin Room within the hotel

Do we have to share a room?

Player and parent must share a room together

How will different abilities be split?

Rest assured our biggest priority is on high quality training for this Elite Camp. All Players should be dedicated to training and working in an elite environment. As they are in small groups, Sonny will be able to cater to their abilities accordingly.

How do I know if I'm at the right level to attend?

If you're playing at a good level in your age group between ages 8-14, please do consider this camp!
